Wimpy
Many years ago when my son was only 3 he woke up feeling a little under the weather. When Dave came in from lunch he crawled up next to Blake and said, "Are you feeling wimpy today?"
Blake(who by the age of three had already been working on his BIG muscles) took great offense and stated with huge tears in his eyes, "I am not a YIMP! I'm just sick" We laughed and laughed as we tried to explain to him that daddy wasn't calling him a wimp he was only using the word to ask if Blake were feeling weak. He wasn't buying it, and for the last 9 years we have used the term "Yimp" in place of wimp.
Guess who woke up feeling like a "yimp" this morning? Our sweet Ashley. She is feeling wimpy. She looks great, but she is throwing up and stooling out. No fevers, just the yuckies. Whiney and fussy, not her usual smiley self. I would guess she has picked up something viral and theres not much we can do for that other than keep an eye on her output. Unfortunately this is just one of the drawbacks to taking her out of the house. I am still very careful and selective with just where and how often she goes, but the reality is that she will always have a weakened immune system because of her anti-rejection meds. Ash has never been to a grocery store. Walmart and Target are definitely out of the question. I have never set her in a shopping cart. She stays home with Nan on the days I need to shop. She has gone to a couple of restaurants with us (but not during the busy times) and to church(where we always sit in the balcony away from the crowd) a couple of times. Other than that she just doesn't go anywhere inside where there would be a lot of people or germs. She loves to be outside at the baseball or soccer games. She loves to go for walks and to sit on the front porch. So I am wondering if she picked up something this week from her time spent outside? Is that even possible?
Anyway, your prayers for our pickle would be greatly appreciated today, and when she perks up a little and doesn't feel quite so wimpy(hopefully that will be in a little while) I am going to share with you her other new trick. Thanks so much for being here today and thank you for praying. God bless. Trish

Could her throat also be a little sore, and maybe that is one reason she was drinking so much? Not to add more worries, it's just a thought & maybe part of the same virus. Or maybe as you said, she just likes her new trick of drinking. If she'll keep drinking for you, I bet it will help her to get better faster!
Praying for the little sweetie.
Sorry to hear she is under the weather. Never fun with a little one. Hope she feels better soon!
Poor thing! I know of at least one other person with a stomach bug right now, so maybe something's going around. Praying it gets over with quickly. Bless her little heart.
