URGENT REQUEST

Please, please get on your knees today in prayer for our precious, precious friend who lay in the PICU here in Omaha. I won't give many details. She lost her transplanted bowel last night and is now battling to survive the next 24 hours. She will be re-listed for transplant soon. Please, please pray for her. She is so precious to her family, to all who know her, and to us.

This is the hardest road any of us have ever walked. Daily we pick up our feet and continue to walk with no understanding of why He has us traveling this way. Each day we carry on in faith knowing that He has a plan. My heart is broken for my Ashley's broken body and for the broken bodies of each of our fellow transplant friends. They are so little. So precious. So loved. I KNOW that God loves them. I know that He loves us. Its just so hard to understand things that don't make any sense. As their mommies and daddies our hearts hurt so deeply for them as we desperately want nothing more than a normal, pain free, childhood for our fragile children. We fight with everything inside of us willing them to keep fighting and they do. They are the strongest, bravest, most amazing people I have ever known, and they are packaged in the tiniest and frailest of bodies.
