Ashley's Story

She will leave fingerprints all over your heart

Lost

Update: Finally have an IV. It was placed in her ankle and we are all hoping it lasts till she goes to the OR tomorrow. The albumin is running, will follow with a dose of lasix, and then get her replacement fluids back up and running. She's exhausted and has fallen asleep. Even with constant blood pressure monitoring she's sleeping. Dave and the kids are on their way a couple of hours late due to our side trip to the treatment room, but on their way regardless.

We lost Ash's IV. They are looking for a vein and trying to place one at this moment. Dave is holding her down instead of being on the road to Dallas, I'm down the hall hiding in her room and I can still hear her screaming. Its so miserable!

She has to have IV support. She feels awful today. Very dehydrated, swollen, and her gut is sick and unable to tolerate anything.

We will attempt placing a pic line in the morning. They want to take her to the OR and need a full staff here to do so. I don't know how much luck they will have, but I'm praying hard for placement.

She's not turning around. Not getting better. We will be infusing albumin as soon as we get another IV. Hopefully it will help.

Dave just stepped in and said they aren't having any luck. They are sticking, digging and searching. I HATE this.
