She will leave fingerprints all over your heart

The Hardest Night

Since you didn't get an update last night you can see that we are still having issues with the computer usage. Please bear with us as we wait for a solution. Trish still does not have access so this message is from DAVE coming at you live from Arlington, TX. The other thing you will notice is that Trish is much better at posting than I am. With me it is just mostly the facts.

Last night was the most difficult night for Ashley since the night of the first surgery. She was vomiting mucus most of the night. The nursing care left a lot to be desired and she just was not getting any help. We were so glad to see the morning shift come on because we know that the nurses during the day are so much more helpful. She is having problems with her lungs and oxygen saturation had dropped to dangerous levels. She is back on oxygen to try to help this. We ask that as you go to church today you would please remember our Gherkin in your prayers. She is having a very difficult time right now. We still have not found a solution to the computer problem so please be in prayer with us for that situation. It was so hard for me to hear how alone Trish was and how much she depends on her computer connection to connect with all who are following Ashley's Story. Please continue to post in the guestbook as this is really encouraging to Trish. Thank you all for being there for us.

Dear Father, we thank You for this precious family. Lord, we just ask that you be with Trish today, I know that it is hard for her not to be able to use the computer to read the notes of encouragement that people write to their family. I just pray that You would provide a solution for the situation. I know all this is in Your timing Lord, but just please help Trish get through this difficult situation. Lord I pray for little Ashley, that you would help her to stop vomiting, help her to be able to rest, and for the right levels of oxygen to return to her body. We pray for more attentitive and compassionate nurses during the night hours. We pray for the difficult times as well as praise You for the good ones You have given. We pray that you would lift Trish's spirits and help her find the strength in You she needs until the computer situation is resolved. Help her to continue to trust and lean on You. We also pray for David that you would give him the right words to say to encourage Trish. I know how much his heart aches for his family to be together. Though they are miles apart Lord, just allow them to still be able to comfort and encourage one another. We pray for Blake and Allie that You would comfort them, we know they don't understand all that goes on, but we just pray for their tender hearts Lord. Protect this family and help them to feel Your presence with them all the time. In Your Precious Name, I Pray Amen
