Goodnight from Ash
What an exciting day. Ash got to move into her new room. This is such a small step, but has such a significant impact on our spirits. We are beginning to realize something today. Ashley is living the new life she has been given. Each day little bits of her personality are slowly coming back. It was such an encouragement that she began to suck her little thumb tonight. She has not done this since the day after the first surgery and we thought that she had forgotten how much she liked it. Everyone will be happy to know (especially you Sue) that Ash sat up on her own without support in her crib for about 8 minutes. This is a huge accomplishment because before the transplant she could not sit on her own at all. It is amazing to see how much stronger she is with the new organs she received. We are so thankful and grateful for the family that gave her so much while suffering such a great loss. You guys have been reading about what a fighter Ash is but I also know that her donor had to have been a fighter as well. What a precious gift that family has so unselfishly given to our family. Tonight I will be praying for them. I pray that one day our donor family will know Ashley's Story.

Father, we thank You for yet another good day for Ashley. We thank You for her second chance on life, we thank You for the donor family and we lift them up to You tonight. Please give them comfort in the loss of their child. We pray that You would bless this family, and one day help them learn of Ashley's Story. Their child did not die in vain Lord, they gave another child a precious gift. Their unselfish act of kindness has given another child the second chance she so desperately needed. We know their hearts must ache for their loss, but just touch them in a way that only You can. We pray that You would help Ashley and Trish get the rest their bodies need, and that Ashley continues her road to recovery. We pray that You use this story for Your honor and glory, and help people to come to know You through it. You are awesome God and we are in awe of what You make possible everyday. We love you Father. Thank You for allowing us the blessing of meeting this family. In Your Name I Pray, Amen.
Good morning, I hope that you guys got some much needed rest last night. I have a question....I bet we need a new address to send things to you since you have moved to the new room. Can you update it on the website for everyone? TJ wants to send Ashley some Veggie Tales DVD's. Thanks! Much love and prayers.
