One Step Closer?
I have heard rumor this morning that since Ashley did tolerate her feeds last night and has not thrown them up that we may get to move out of the ICU! I am trying not to get too excited in case it does not happen, but this is one step closer to being home. After ICU you have to move to the Pediatric liver floor, and then you move into an apartment( for 6 months ) and then you get to move home. Although it is a baby step it makes my heart smile to think that this would be the first step to coming home. Ashley looks beautiful this morning. Her WBC have come into range which tells us her body and the anti-biotics are fighting the infections. Praise God that the blood is still clear of infection. The nurse practitioner told me she would mention the move in rounds and see what the surgeons think of it. I am trying to stay calm because I don't want to be disappointed, but I can feel God working in Ashley's life. Thank you for all the time spent in prayer for my sweet girl. He is listening, hearing, and answering.
I will post more after they round. I am so thankful for each one of you. May God bless you today. Trish

Trish, We feel your excitement and are so excited with you. It would be great news if you and Ashley could come "out of the valley" for a while and have just a mountain top experience for a time. I know that you have been given "little gifts" along that have come in some desperate times. We know that in life we go through the valleys to help humble us and build us for God's purposes. You and your family have been so strong and courageous and have been a great examle and testimony for all who know you, for all the medical staff and all the people coming to your website. We will continue to pray for God's will in little Ashley's life and that she will continue to improve each day.
In His Love~~~Janiece
What wonderful possibilities ~ praying for you today!
