Ashley's Story

She will leave fingerprints all over your heart

Knowing Jesus Personally

We have been through so much this last year and this last month with our Ashley. I have been amazed to see the kindness of so many strangers. Almost daily I hear of strangers that have heard Ashley's Story and are willing to give to her. There are so many emotional and financial challenges in this process and I am just so humbled by the generosity of so many in our community and so many others throughout the country. I am amazed at the number of people who check in each day to see how our Gherkin is doing. I am amazed at the number of people who donate funds and ask us if there is anything else we need. I even had a friend offer to come by and mow my lawn. I had another friend offer to give me his frequent flyer miles to help me get to Omaha and see my wife and Ash. I was working on Ash's website and saw that we are approaching 10,000 hits since we started the website just over a month ago. We had 763 hits on Ash's site in one day following her transplant surgery and I know that with your help we will soon see over 1,000 hits in a single day. All of this is showing me how much God is using Ashley and us to not only to tell Ashley's Story, but to tell His Story. So as you check in on our Ash and read her story take some time to check your own heart and your own faith and ask yourself if you know Him.

If you were to die today and God were to ask you "why should I let you into My heaven?" How would you answer? Because I am a good person. Because I gave money to the needy. Because I am honest and treat people right. Because I went to church. All of these things are great, but they don't get you into heaven. You need to have a personal relationship with Jesus and accept Him for who He is and what He did on the cross for you. If you have any questions about this please ask, ask me, ask a friend who is a believer, ask a pastor or preacher or clergyman. Go online and Google Evangelism Explosion or FAITH training. Please just take some time and do a little soul searching. We love our Ashley, and we also love you.

Wow, awesome how God is using this story as a way for us to bring people to Him. He knew exactly what He had in store for your family when He blessed you with little Ashley. I am so glad that you posted this on Ashley's website. It is so important we spread the story of God's love through Jesus with everyone that we can.....it is so important to know without a doubt that we are truly saved. So many people think they aren't good enough, but that is what the grace of God is all about. The best definition of God's grace I have ever heard was unmerited favor. So true, none of us deserve what awaits us in heaven, but because of His love for us and forgiveness that only the Father can give we will dwell with Him forever if we choose to accept the gift of salvation. Your entire family is such a testimony to everyone checking up on Ashley....I hope and pray that all who are lost that check on Ashley will ask someone how they can be saved.

What can I say to that post but AMEN, so well said, I am so grateful that I was led to learn about Ashley - I have even created a section on my message board dedicated to Ashley I hope that through her story it will soften the hearts of others and allow them to give to others what has been given to them! I absolutely love reading about Ashley and the way that our father is reaching out to us through her, I sometimes come here feeling like my world is a mess but after leaving here I realize that through our heavenly father nothing is impossible!
And no mess is to big or small to clean up with him by our side

God Bless You All
