Blessed Beyond Measure

I have no words to describe the gratitude that I feel in my heart. God continues to bless me and answers prayers. He hears my every word, he reads what I type and He knows my thoughts. He is an amazing God.

Tonight one of you precious families who love Ashley have extended your love outside of my family. You have fullfilled a need. I never imagined to receive the call that dinner would be provided tonight for all of the families here in our PICU. I wish you could have seen the appreciation on everyones faces. There have been more than 20 people in the room enjoying your gift tonight. They are all so blessed by your generosity. Thank you so much for caring for people you will never meet. As we were eating one of the families little boy was down in the OR because of complications with the transplant he received last night. Another family has a daughter who is very ill and she is waiting for an organ to become available. They are praying for a miracle to come through. Baby Chloe's mom and dad were just told that she is rejecting her new intestine and her liver enzymes are climbing. Little Skyler's mom was in there making a plate to take with her and she told me he his doing a little better tonight. I assured her there were many people praying for her son. The stories go on and on. We are not the only ones fighting for the life of our child. Thank you for lifting a small burden off of their shoulders tonight. I have no idea who sent the wonderful dinner, but I love you and I will never forget your gift.

As I sat down to type this message a local pastor came by to visit. Thank you for sending him Bro. Jay. He told me he was going to wait until tomorrow to come by but after reading Ashley's Story he decided to come today. It had only been about an hour since I had been visiting with Dave about what we were going to do when we left the hospital. We were discussing living arrangements for Ashley and I . Trying to afford two households is going to be a strain for us. When the pastor stopped by we began visiting about the road ahead and he felt like he may have a couple of options for Ashley and I. How amazing to serve a God who knows my every thought and who was already working on the burden before I had ever discussed it with David. I am more than blessed at the possibility of a solution. He is amazing.

Ashley has spent the afternoon sleeping and enjoying the feeling of a full tummy. She is now waking up and is having a hard time adjusting to the amount of steroids she is on. She is feeling irritable and itchy tonight. My prayers is for a restful night for her. Thank you all for checking in on her today. Your prayers are appreciated and they are making a difference in the life a tiny little one. She loves you all and we do too.

Praise the Lord!! We have such an awesome and amazing God. It has been so good to watch Him working in the lives of everyone touched by Ashley's story. We are so thankful that you have had another great day with Ashley. We are also thankful for the person who provided food for all the families in the PICU, may God bless them. We want you to know that even though we don't get to post during the day, that we check regularly and pray all the time for precious little Ashley. Your story is such a blessing to so many families out there. We will lift up little Chloe especially tonight as well as Skylar and Ashley and all the others that aren't named. We love you guys, and pray that Ashley's recovery continues to get better every day, and that you and Ashley can see the rest of your family very soon.
