A Panel of Test
I have waited all morning for someone to allow me to use the computer, but I can not wait any longer, so if I stop abruptly then please forgive me. I am asking you all to pray for Ash as you read this post. She is not feeling well at all today. They are running a full panel of tests trying to find if there might be some type of viral issue causing her to be sick. She is coughing and vomitting and has been for days now. I believe last night we had 12 episodes and never even closed our eyes. This morning it is not any better. She has been suctioned through her nose down into her lungs 5 or 6 times already today trying to pull the mucus and fluid out. Her little nose and throat are very, very sore. She is not able to breathe room air right now because she is laboring and grunting with every breath. I am trying to be calm and just rest in the knowledge that He is taking care of Ash, but I am tired and my heart hurts so much watching her struggle for breath. They are using lasix to try and pull some extra fluid off of her hoping this will decrease her struggle for air. Her little face, hands and feet are so very swollen and puffy. Aunt Rae stood by her bed for 3 hours until 4a.m. rubbing her swollen little feet. We feel so helpless. I know we are not alone, but this is scary. I wish Dave was here with Ash so he could try and help her feel safe. She is scared when they approach her bed because she knows it will not be pleasant.
The good news is that none of this seems to be related to her new organs. All of her labs show that at this point the gift she was given is working. Her numbers and enzymes from the liver and bowel look great. Ashley is severly immuno comprimised and unfortunately this is necessary to try and keep her body from rejecting the new organs. Along with the comprimising of her immune system comes the very high risk of illness and infection. This is what we are battling right now. God loves my Ashley and I believe in my heart He has given her this chance to live. She is so strong and stubborn and she is fighting everything and everyone with all her might. This morning I read that it is Satan who comes to steal, kill and destroy, and I am determined today to not allow him to do this to me or to my Ashley. As long as she is fighting to stay strong then I am in the fight right along with her. I am asking the Father to renew our strength and to bring us peace and comfort today. I want so badly for Ashley to be able to rest. At this point they have mentioned going back to ICU to have her monitored tonight if things do not resolve soon.
Thank you for loving her, and thank you for praying today. She needs your prayers and your strength. We love you all. I hope to post later as they begin to figure out what is going on in her body. Take care. Love, Trish

Father we cry out to you on behalf of this family. Just be with little Ashley and give the doctors the wisdom they need to help stop the vomiting. We know that You know exactly what all is going on inside little Ashley, we just pray that You continue to giver her strength to fight off any infections or illness. Father, this family needs restm I pray that You would help them to be able to rest soon, and only if for fifteen minutes help them to feel as if they have slept through an entire night. Help them to feel Your love and presence. Hold them in Your mighty hands today. Lord we love You, and thank You for allowing us the opportunity to be involved in Your great plan for this family. Help our prayers to be a comfort, we know there are a lot of families praying for Ashley. We pray that You would continue to shower Your love and blessings on little Ashley and the rest of her family. In Your Precious Name, Amen
OH Trish Iam so sorry to hear that you have had such a rough few days, I think of you throughout the day and I have prayed more then I have ever prayed before
May the lord be with you guys today, may he give you the strength to be strong for Ashley an may be give Ashley some relief and allow her precious eyes to get some sleep, My heart goes out to you both today and will continue to pray for you both, You can do all things through Christ who strenghtens you
