A Thimble Full.
Ashley's feedings are going well thus far. She gets 5cc per hour and it amazes me when I think of how little that is. She is getting less in 1 hour than I eat in 1 bite. It literally takes her 1 hour to eat the contents of a thimble. At the rate she is going now it would take her a year to eat the amount I had for dinner. She is going to have to pick it up a bit if she is going to eat tacos with her dad some day. Sometimes when I see her I tell her she is a big pickle, but today was a reminder that she will always be my little Gherkin.
Thank you for your prayers before during and after her surgery today. We know without a doubt that you guys are carrying our family right now and we are sincerely grateful for each one of your prayers.

Awesome, awesome. . . . . awesome, awesome, awesome! I am so excited that things are moving in the right direction! Way to go, God! ;)
We thank You Lord for showing Yourself in a mighty way and for answering soooo many prayers for little Ashley's surgery. We are truly grateful. We know we have to take one day at a time and one step at a time and so it is that Ashley took that thimble bite and we thank You that her little body tolerated it and now we pray that she can take a bigger bite each time now so that she will grow stronger.
As we approach Thanksgiving Day, we have the blessing of little Ashley's Story. Thank you again, Trish and David for sharing it with us. I pray for traveling safety for Dave on his flight to be with 2 of his girls and that You would bless them with a wonderful time together. I pray for Trish's wisdom tooth issue to be resolved so that she can enjoy her precious time with Dave. Bless Blake, Allie, Bobbie and Trish's sisters as they spend Thanksgiving together. Continue to show Yourself through out "this story" as only You can and we give You all the praise.
