Ashley's Story

She will leave fingerprints all over your heart

And then came Morning

Good morning from Omaha, we are so glad the sun is finally awake. We have been watching and waiting all night for the day to begin. Ashley prefers to sleep in the daytime and I am going to have to be o.k. with that because I don't believe she intends for it to change. She had a very long night and was never able to find a comfortable position. Around 3:00 this morning I finally just sat her up in my lap and we watched movies and read books until 5:30. She breathes easier when she is sitting up. I am waiting for the docs to begin rounds this morning, but I don't really expect any changes to be made today. We will wait and see.

I just spoke to Jeremiah's parents and he is still with us. He has improved a little through the night and seems to be a little more stable. They are considering waiting until tomorrrow to go back inside him and maybe give him some more time today to gain a little strength. His mom and Dad are not convinced that they should wait. I can tell they are scared and are thinking that maybe they should do something today. Things change moment by moment so they are staying close by sleeping in the waiting room waiting for decisions to be made. I told her about the many people who are praying for her son and I can see the appreciation on her face. As you think of him today please just whisper a prayer to the Father for this precious little one who is so deeply loved by his parents.

We will post again as the day continues to let you all know what our sweet girl is up to today. I am praying for a long nap to come our way. Thank you guys for checking in on us, and thank you for all of your prayers. Trish
