Garage Sale and Stroll-A-Thon

I want to thank each and every person who participated in the garage sale and the stroll-a-thon for Ashley. Each person that , walked, worked, donated and participated in any way all gave of their time and talents to help our little Gherkin and we are so humbled by all the work you guys did. I am so thankful for the people that God has placed in my life that are so supportive of Ashley. Many have not yet had a chance to meet Ash, but they still give so much to this little girl. God has used each one of you in a unique way to touch our lives by your generosity towards Ash and our family. So many people visit Ashley's website each day to check on her. You guys pray for her on the good day and you pray even more on the bad days. We love to read the guestbook and the comments in the journal to see all the prayers and encouragement you offer to our family. The last 15 months have brought so many changes in our lives. What is exciting is all the things God has taught us. We have learned compassion more than we could have any other way. We have seen His grace worked out in our lives on a daily basis. We have seen the generosity of His people more than ever before. We have learned more to trust Him in all things although sometimes we still struggle. We have seen His work in our lives and seen Him answer so many prayers. He has given us more than we could have ever expected. He gave Ash organs that we thought may never come. We have often journaled how Ash was given a second chance at life. The truth is we can count at least 4 times that He has spared her life and if we counted the number of times he has brought her through major surgeries, that number would be even higher. Thank you Lord for taking care of my family.
Thank you volunteers and contributors for "Workin for the Gherkin"

O.K. I just had a serene smile enjoying the pictures of stroller-thon and imaganing I had been able to be there. I loved seeing our family in the moonwalk all together. So sweet! But then the one with the national guard - I instantly wept. I am so proud of our military and think often how they too miss many milestones away from their families and their just so brave and strong and well, manly, so to see them presenting a donation to this precious most wonderful little miracle of a baby was just a big huge blessing to me. I'm thinkking of yall and praying for you and I love you.
