Ashley's Story

She will leave fingerprints all over your heart

Rumor Has it....

The word in the hall is that we are moving out of the PICU. It has not happened yet, but we are on the list to be moved tonight when a room becomes available. We are trying not to get too excited because we all have learned how quickly things change around here, but it is a little hard to wipe the smile off my face.

We have been allowed to keep Ashley's feeds going and they have made it to a rate of 15ccs per hour. The ultimate goal will be 55ccs an hour and no TPN. That phrase "no TPN" is what we have been working on for almost 15months now. What a beautiful day that will be. Ashley has spent a good part of the day napping and catching up on her sleep. She is working hard to fight this little "bug" that she has and it seems to be taking all of her energy. She doesn't really feel like being held so we just turned on her new Blues Clues and she is a pretty happy girl.

We are excited and blessed about the possible move tonight. I will update everyone when we are allowed to go. Please pray for us as we learn to adjust to the new floor, new staff, and new germs. I can't wait to call home tonight and tell the kids we have made it out of the ICU. They will be so happy. Thanks for lifting us up in prayer today. We love you guys. Trish
