Showers of Blessings...

Where do I begin? We have been blessed over and over again today. While we were away at the tests this morning a box arrived in Ashley's room. It was sent by a group who collects blankets, toy, gifts, clothes, books, etc. basically anything that would make a child smile and boxes them up and delivers to the patients on this floor. How blessed we were to come in and find new books and toys for Ashley. She was so happy to see the new things. My heart smiled when I looked at the outside of the box and saw that it was decorated by children with stickers and drawings. What an amazing ministry for little ones to be a part of. Ashley felt so blessed and so did I.

Yesterday I received a box in the mail that contained the most wonderful thing. It was a cushion sewn for my "favorite" recliner that I sleep in each night in Ashley's room. It is made of the most wonderful fabric! It is so soft and so comfortable and you would not believe the difference it makes. Thank you Deena. I love it, and I love the colors too! How blessed I am to have such talented friends.

At the Ambucs Too meeting today David received such a blessing from all who have worked so hard to help Ashley. This is the most amazing group of people who are dedicated to makeing a difference in the lives of children. Thank you guys for blessings us with all you do. We love you.

How blessed I am when I hear of all the wonderful things planned for Saturdays Stroll-A- Thon. Each person who is involved at whatever level has blessed us beyond words. We are so excited and are looking forward to haveing a great event. How I wish Ash and I could be there to stroll along with all of you. Thanks for participating. It means so very much. I can't wait to see you all in the pictures. I love you guys.

Dr. Grant, Ashley's transplant surgeon, just poked her head in the room and said that we are going to start feeds today. YEAH! What a blessing! I am so excited to get some food flowing through Ash's new intestine. I asked her when we could move out and back up stairs and she said maybe tomorrow. I am walking on clouds full of blessings. They continue to pour out on top of us today and I am just so thankful. If Ash does well on the food then we really might make that tiny step up that brings us one little step closer to home. I am praying for good things to happen inside of her.

I am sure I could go on and on and on about the blessings I see all around today, but I am going to close for now and go sit with my Ashley while she naps. Please know that I count each one of you as a blessing in my life. Your encouragement, your prayers, your kindness, and your love blesses my heart each and every day. Thank you for blessing us. May He bless you right back!

Thank you for keeping your eyes on Him. Thank you for the reminder that He is full of blessings regardless of our circumstances. Thank you for you willingness to be poured out for Him in this way. It means a lot. I know I am not the only mother with a child dealing with new medical issues(minor in omparison but scary all the same). Your strength and hope is an encouragement and very appreciated.
