Getting out...
We were able to get Trish away from the hospital for a while today. We went to the movies to see Santa Clause 3. It was a cute little movie. Then we went shopping for a bit, not really my thing, but hey it sure beats airport security.
They stopped the paralytic drugs around noon today and Ash begin moving her hands and toes around 5:00. When we got in from the stores I was able to "see" Ash for a moment even though she could not see me. One thing Ash loves to do while in the hospital is to bang two Styrofoam cups together. When I saw her moving I got her two cups and put them in her hands. It didn't take her long to remember how to hit the cups together. I saw her try to open her eyes a couple of times to look at Blake and me however due to the heavy swelling she just could not get them open. I could tell she wanted to at least. I think she knows that Blake and I are here playing with her. She got to banging the cups pretty good for about five minutes then we had pretty well worn her out. She fell back asleep. I was so thankful to get this small glimpse into her personality. She has gone down on the oxygen some and the next goal is to begin to wean her from the vent again. Thank you for all your prayers and thanks so much to whoever sent the dinner. We are having fajitas tonight!!!

THis is so lovely. I am glad Trish got a break, that Ashley showed a limmer of her self to you all, and that someone sent you dinner. Praise the Lord for all His blessings.
