Ashley's Story

She will leave fingerprints all over your heart

Oh, What a difference...

This is Ash at 11 months and 11lbs on the fourth of July 2006.

This is Ash at 23 months and 23 lbs on the fourth of July 2007.

... a year makes. I mean what a difference a new intestine can make. Oh, yeah and a new liver. You might as well throw in the pancreas too, and don't forget the wonderful works of our God in her life.

When I look at the pictures of last year compared to this year I am amazed at the difference. Our Ashley was so tiny, so fragile, so jaundiced, and so ill. Her little arms and legs were almost skeletal. Now she has rolls and rolls of chub with dimples and creases! God has truly blessed us and we are so grateful. This chubby baby looks so healthy and we couldn't be prouder of her. We are now counting down the days until she turns 2 years old. Only 30 more to go until we celebrate two years of life that He has given. We are so excited!

Thinking of all of you today, rejoicing in how far the Lord has brought dear Ashley, and praying that He will continue to bless you richly in the days to come.
We're all looking forward to your little girl's 2nd birthday, too :)

It's so humbling to see God's grace and love on this little girl (and in your lives). Praise the Lord for His neverending goodness!

Oh she is SO cute and cuddly. Praise God for the last year. I cannot imagine what it has been like to walk in your shoes or to be there day in and day out with all the twists and turns - but oh glory be to God! I am so thankful that you are writing this all down. I know you are mainly doing this for Ashley and your family - but an extra thank you for allowing us in "internet world" to catch a glimpse of you all - a precious family and to share the MANY miracles of God with us! God bless you! Sunshine
