A delicate Balance

As we continue through this day in Ashley's life, I see that all things have such a delicate balance. Through out today we have tried to balance fluids, electrolytes, blood sugars, blood pressures, in take and out take, oxygen, and several other things. Each and everything must have the right balance in order to do the right job that it was created and designed to do. As one thing gets out of order we add another to bring it back into the balance of normal. At one point today Ashley's blood pressure dropped to such low levels due to the in balance of fluids. At another point her blood sugar was tested at over 400 and she was given the necessary elements to bring it back into balance as well. We now have placed a catheter to try and get a urine sample from her because her kidneys are not producing the necessary out put. They are adding albumin and something else I don't remember to pull fluid out of her tissues and into her blood stream. All things He created must have the correct balance in order to function. How thankful I am for the education and experience He has provided to those who are caring for my Ashley.

I can't help but think of the balance that He has created in the body of Christ as I watch this day play out. He has taken just the right people, with the right words and the right talents and resources from His body of people to minister to my family at just the right time in our lives. If He had too much of one type of talent or person in this body of believers then His work would not be in balance. He takes each of us in our individuality that He created us with to do the job that He has designed for us to do for Him. If He had called all of us to parent my Ashley then who would be left to intercede for us when our hearts and minds are so very heavy? If we had not listened to His call and played our part in His plan then it would have become out of balance. If we all do what He asks of us, when He asks it of us, just think what would be accomplished for Him. I continue to learn through the struggles of my littlest one. As she lays out before Him to work His plan in her life, I sit and dwell on what I am to learn from this part of her story. Today I see that each and every moment of Ashley's recovery plays its own part in the balance of His plan for her life and mine.

I am praying for balance in her body and life. I am praying for balance in my own life. I am praying for the correct balance of talents to come from the people who are in charge of her care today. Thank you for joining my family in prayer today. I can see it working in Ashley's life and in her story. You are playing your part and therefore helping to balance this time in her life. You are loved and appreciated. Trish

We lost our internet again, so we are just now reading about Ashley's struggles through the night. Kaitlynn has been sleeping the the night pretty regularly but not last night. She was up more last night than she has been since she first came home. Each time she woke up I prayed for Ashley, but I couldn't get any updates on her.....so I had no idea what was going on until just now. I was so tired after just one night of interrupted sleep....I can't imagine how your body must be begging for sleep, but you just feel you can't because you want to take care of your baby. We pray that the God directs the doctor's to make the right decisions throughout today to get Ashley back on the road to recovery. My heart breaks for your family as you go from high on the mountains to low in the valleys. We know you will get back up on that mountain again, we just wish you could stay there until Ashley has fully recovered!! God has a plan though, and His plan is perfect....only God knows what our futures hold, we pray that you find the strength in Him to get through each day until Ashley gets to come back home and be reunited with the rest of her family. Know we are constantly praying and we love you guys very much!

Father, we thank you for this family and the lives You are touching through them. We pray that You would help Trish constantly feel Your presence with her and Ashley. Give her heart peace, and help her to continue to remain strong. Father each time she has any fears or worries, we pray that You would help her to continue giving it all back to You. Her faith and trust in You is so strong Lord, and we thank You for her testimony in each and every situation You have brought her through. We pray that You would place Your healing hands on little Ashley Lord, we love this little girl, and want her family to be able to bring her home again soon. We know Your will and timing is perfect Lord, and we will wait, but just continue giving them the strength they need until that day comes. We pray for David, Blake, and Allie too Lord, I can't imagine their fears and concerns, but just ease them Lord as only You can. We just pray that You would help them all continue to rest in You. In Your precious Name I pray, Amen.
