Ashley's Story

She will leave fingerprints all over your heart

Please Pray

We are asking you to please pray for our sweet Ashley Kate tonight. Her good day has turned on us and she is struggling this evening. In the last hour she has become extrememly fussy, irritable, and is projectile vomiting large volumes. She continues to not have any fever, but her smiles have faded and she is mirserable. Now the trick is to watch her for dehydration. She spent Wed. and Thurs. vomitting. We were admitted to the hospital and they re-hydrated her and released her. She spent Friday and and Saturday resting and today playing, smiling, and happy. I had thought the worst was over and that perhaps we were going to avoid the rumored danger. Now I just don't know what it is happening. If she continues vomiting then we will be in the ER tonight. I pray that it will cease and she will sleep. I am anxiously awaiting lab results from Dallas. We we sent blood and stool cultures looking for something, anything to give us possible answers other than rejection. Tomorrow morning more labs will be sent and depending on what they say we may or may not head toward Omaha. It is going to be a long night.

Any and all prayers for her would be so appreciated. I thank you in advance for praying. I have come to trust in your faithfulness to pray for our baby. I know I can never, ever repay you. Please know that you are loved and you are thought of as part of her story. Without the prayers that are sent on her behalf I don't believe she would still be with us. Good night and God Bless. Trish

Oh my goodness, I cannot even put into words what your blog has come to mean to me, how it has inspired me, challenged me, and made me stop and hug my three little ones a little longer. I will pray for little Ashley tonight, for you and your family, and for the doctors - that they would have and act with wisdom.

God is using her and your family in such a HUGE way...it could not have been humanly planned or orchestrated to touch this many lives and hearts. We serve a big God...thank you Trish and Dave for being an example of what it means to live open-handed before God with our children. Lifting your hearts up in prayers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God please touch Ashley's tiny body tonight. In Your mercy give her rest and peace tonight. You are our Great Physican and we cry out to you Father on this families behalf. You are faithful, you are Wonderful. Calm the storms of sickness, disease, and uncertainty. Please Father we humbly ask. We have come to love her and want to see her florish and grow. Amen Colleen

Gracious Heavenly Father, We thank You for the miracle of Your Son's death and ressurection, for the miracle of life itself. We thank You for the miracle of little Ashley's life and ask for Your most tender mercies to be with her always, but especially during the dark hours of the night. We thank You for a blessed Easter for her today, but, again come to You with our prayers that whatever changes are taking place with all the vomiting that You would already be preparing whatever cure is necessary for her to be over it. We cry out to You to protect her precious liver and that there would be not one hint of a rejection issue. Be with her family who wait and care for her. Her story still travels round the world and with hers, so goes the greatest story on earth. Thank You Jesus~~~Amen.

Dave and Trish, just a word about your "suprise" visit in church this morning. That was such a great moment for me and all our church family!! It just thrilled us to be able see the three of you there on the platform for all to see such a beautiful little Ashley with her mommy and daddy. Thank you for sharing her and sharing from your hearts. You blessed ours. Love and prayers to you.
