Ashley's Story

She will leave fingerprints all over your heart

2/14/2007

Quick Update

Good News.

The preliminary info shows a clean MRI of the brain and no cancer cells found in the cerebral spinal fluid. Based on her clinical presentation (screaming alot) some of the Drs don't believe the preliminary results so we will see what happens as more info becomes available.

Plan:

We will decrease the immunosuppresion therapy and take another CT after 1 week. If the tumors are decreasing in size this will be a very good thing. The hope is to allow her immune system to fight this thing the way God designed it to. We pray that she can do this and that we don't risk her new organs.

This thrills my heart! However, I know as parents, it takes a few tests before you can let your guard down and say,"ok, this is how it really is". I will be praying for peace for the both of you until then.

I'm praying for you tonight as you celebrate your little sweetheart--and that the doctors will find the cause of the screaming--and that it's NOT bad news!!

Thank you for taking the time to update so often. You have a mighty crowd of prayer warriors standing ready to pray each time you do!!

Great news, although the "belief" of the doctors can be discouraging.
God is Faithful and will continue to care for HIS Gerkin!
Trish - please don't shy away from sharing your heart and allowing us to pray for your struggles. We are praying for you - the Spirit knows even when we cannot express with words (Romans 8). Our prayers are with you, for peace and for rest!

Awesome! So glad it's not in her brain! Continually praying and really appreciating the updates! It is so strangely wonderful to me to have fallen for a sweet little girl and family I've never "met". Love and prayers in Tennessee.

I have been reading this blog for months and months...praying for your family and your precious little Gherkin. I just checked in after not checking for a few days and am SHOCKED and SADDENED by the news of the cancer. I desperately pray for you now. I cannot fathom what you have been going through and are now facing. Your faith has been such a huge inspiration to me. Even when you're beaten down, you praise God instead of showing anger.

This is my first time posting, even though I've wanted to write and support you through the hurtful anonymous comments you've received.

I just want you to know that you have prayers coming at you from Lansing, Michigan.

God Bless You and Lift You Up!

Praise the Lord for the wonderful news regarding the testing done today!!! God is still on the throne and control! He is so powerful and his grace is sufficient. Will continue to pray that the positive news keeps rolling in. It is my prayer that you can rest a little easier now. I am also praying that Allison can get well soon! Love and prayers being sent from our house to that precious little bundle of joy and for those that love her so very much. Love always, Matt and Cindy Adams

We will praise God for the preliminary results and continue to pray for Ashley. We pray that she and her precious mommy will get some much needed rest tonight. We are also praying for Dave's travels to Omaha tomorrow and his time with his little gherkin. May God continue to carry you on this journey with that precious baby girl that we all have fell in love with>
