Ashley's Story

She will leave fingerprints all over your heart

He makes me Smile

If you happened to whisper a prayer over Ashely Kate's DVD player this morning then I want to say thank you. Sometimes God just makes me smile. Actually I am laughing. A sporadic, miraculous healing is taking place. I continued to beat and plead with this silly contraption to just let her watch one episode and out of no where it started turning the disc round and round. I have no idea how long it will last because for some reason it is freezing up and then playing then freezing up again, but for now this baby that you see is a happy girl even if you can't tell by the look on her face.

Thanks God for caring about the little things in our lives.

Mail time:

Several people have inquired about a mailing address. I hesitate to post one because I don't want you to think that you need to do anything more than you already do for us. Your prayers are more than enough. I have also been told not to rob another of His blessing so I will post a couple of options for you.

In Nebraska:

What a beautiful little girl! I am glad that she can find joy in Blue. I was only in the hospital a few days with each of my 3 c-sections but I can only imagine how a dvd player would be a very welcomed blessing for a 2 year old.
Thank you Trish for letting your (Ashley's) needs be known. We know you weren't asking one of us to buy you a dvd player.
Honestly I so wish I could afford to send you one. I would love to be a blessing in that way but I can't and it brings a smile to my face and tears to my eyes to see that someone else is able to do that for Ashley.

Love you guys! ~Chan~

Praise the Lord! She is looking so much better in the pictures. I pray that she continues to grow stronger and more healthy each and every day. I pray for you as well, that you feel the presence of our Father holding you through this ordeal. I pray for your son that he has an outstanding birthday. I pray for all of your children that they bear this burden lightly and are able to see the goodness and faithfulness of God throughout. I pray for your husband that he is given strength to march ahead, even though his burden is large. May God lift you all to soar on wings of eagles, walk and not grow weary, run and not grow faint.

You bless us all with your testimony of faith, love and strength! Let us bless you with our faithful prayer.

I agree with britzy, it seemed odd...

I have been a bit of a lurker here, reading daily and praying for your family. Just wanted you to know that I will continue to pray for healing. I love that something as simple as Blue can make her feel better. God knows even our simple requests, and while a working dvd player may seem "simple", it is truly a blessing for your little girl.

After too many days in a row of having a heavy heart on behalf of little Ashley and her sweet family, my heart is soaring right now as I read the good news! Bless her little heart, if anyone is entitled to being a little rude, it would certainly be her! :) {{HUGS}} from Montana.....

We had a few days at TCH in houston a little over a wk ago. I had just bought Morgan a Blues Clues DVD w/ 8 episodes... it ran ALL 4 days we were there... NONSTOP. Even when we were coloring or reading, Morgan requested "Boos Poos" stay on. Something about that puppy :)! Still praying for her every day!

I am unable to check your blog at work (they block all blogspot addresses!) but was so glad to see her grumpy little face as soon as I got home! God is so more than able. Continuing to pray for you, the Pickle and family!

Well, I guess if you mean prayers being answered...then "YES"...it did work again! HOORAY!

By the way, I've known Trish my whole life and she has the Spiritual Gift of 'Giving'. Her husband also will attest that it is her Love Language...(assuming you've read the book). I wish I were more like her in the area of sacrificial giving; instead, I have the Gift of Patience (hee hee...ya, right)
